Kerry
Kerry Diener, M.S.
President, Early Childhood Developmental Interventionist

Kerry has been in this field for 20 years, providing support to children and families. She first started out as an ABA therapist with children with autism and fell in love with this work! Later, she worked in mental health and then was on Littleton Public Schools Behavior Consultation Team and Positive Behavior Support Team. Kerry started Denver Behavior Consultants nearly 10 years ago to provide Early Intervention to families in the community in which she lives. Her Master's degree is in Special Education from National University in La Jolla, and she holds a Colorado Special Education Teaching License. Understanding what it is like to raise a child with special needs, she also has three children and enjoys spending time on water and in nature.

Meredith O'Keeffe, M.A.
Lead Early Childhood Developmental Interventionist

Meredith is a native Texan who moved to Colorado in 2009. She lives in Castle Rock with her husband, son, and beagle named Louie. Meredith graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's degree in Development and Family Studies. She holds a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Colorado Denver, with a Colorado teaching license as an Early Childhood Special Education Specialist. Before joining Denver Behavior Consultants, Meredith worked as a Service Coordinator at Developmental Pathways and in Early Head Start at Clayton Early Learning. Meredith enjoys spending time with her family outside and enjoying our beautiful state!

Brittany
Brittany Healy, M.A.
Social Emotional Therapist

Brittany has always had a desire to work with kids and families. In 2007, she received her Master's degree in School Psychology from the University of Toledo. After completing her graduate work, she became a Director of an Early Childhood Center in Colorado Springs. She later worked as a Family Therapist serving families with adolescents exhibiting anti-social behaviors.

Brittany also has experience as an ABA Therapist for children with special needs, and served as a Children’s program specialist at Mission Training International. She has two boys ages 2 and 5 with her husband Shawn and enjoys being able to encourage and support other families.

Jordana Moreno​, M.A.
Early Childhood Developmental Interventionist

Jordana attended Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC where she earned my BS in Severe/Profound Special Education. In 2008, she earned a Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Colorado Denver. After many years only in the classroom as an Early Childhood Special Educator in Douglas County School District, she decided that she wanted to work more closely with families in their homes to support them and their children. Denver Behavior Consultants has been extremely rewarding to her and provides an exciting new challenge. Building relationships with families and their children have renewed her passion for education. When she is not in the classroom or with families, she is spending time with her husband and two children. They enjoy taking day trips around Colorado, exploring parks, and going to the zoo

Menekse Karaoglu, PhD

Menekse Karaoglu has a master degree in Early Childhood Special Education from University of Colorado Denver in 2001. She also got her Ph.D in Early Childhood Development. She has over 20 years of experience in education teaching wide variety of ages from infant to college and graduate students. Menekse strongly believes that early intervention is very crucial on early age to enhance children’s development in all areas. She has lived in Colorado since 1999 with her husband and son.

Jessica
Jessica Meisel, M.S. Ed.
Early Childhood Developmental Interventionist

Jessica Meisel is a licensed Early Childhood Special Educator with a Master’s degree in early childhood special education from Hunter College in NYC. Her interest in early childhood education began during her years as a nanny, which led her to obtain a degree in early childhood special education. Jessica Meisel has worked as a Preschool Special Education Teacher and a Learning Specialist for grades K-5 before joining the team at Denver Behavior Consultants. She also does work for the Anchor Center for Blind Children.
Jill Pasion
Early Childhood Developmental Interventionist

Jill began her work in the education field as a paraprofessional supporting young adults with special needs in gaining life skills. As an early childhood advisor in Lesotho, Africa she helped design and implement a teacher training program and mentored preschool teachers and supervisors. Under Head Start and Early Head Start she served as Assistant Director of a national program and provided training and technical assistance to teachers and managers; one responsibility included leading a startup processes through which legal, administrative and fiscal capacity was gained to begin immediate interim administration of 40+ relinquished, terminated or suspended Head Start/EHS programs. Jill served as adjunct faculty with University of Colorado, Denver in designing and teaching two master’s level courses: Advanced Child Growth and Development, and Approaches in Young Children’s Learning. In her work as a professional development coach, she supported preschool and infant/toddler child care centers in a myriad of quality improvement initiatives, including Colorado Shines Rating and CLASS evaluation preparation. Jill has a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. She has a Coaching Credential Level 3; is a certified PreK and Toddler CLASS observer; certified trainer/facilitator for Strengthening Families and Critical Friends Peer Learning Communities; certified in ECERS-R, ITERS-R and Skilled Dialogue.

Jill Cook
Early Childhood Developmental Interventionist

Jill went to school at ASU and graduated with honors with her BA in Elementary Education. She taught first and second grade for several years then got pregnant with her twins. In 2009, her twins were born at 26 weeks, which began her passion for helping families and kiddos in similar situations. Jill finished her Masters in Early childhood Education with a special edition endorsement from CU Denver when her kiddos were 5. Today her twins are happy and healthy and so is she! Jill feels privileged to work with children and families. She can support and encourage in times of stress and celebrate in times of growth. In her free time she likes to read, run, watch movies and enjoy life with her twins and her doggie.

Shira Shump

Shira has a joint Masters of Education/Special Education, a Colorado ECSE Professional Teaching License and 25 years of experience in the field of education. Additionally, she has worked in multiple settings including hospitals, schools, mental health centers and private practice. Shira has a passion for providing support, particularly Early Intervention to children and families that are in need. When Shira is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking advantage of all that Colorado has to offer!
